Picture of a blonde boy in red,
This is how I dressed up in the
City
Childhood wrapped in dungarees and
Laughing in playgrounds,
Sitting on ant mounds,
And watching the fish on T
V
I got electrical shocks –
Screeching on the slide when it was
Humid
Walking down the side streets I knew
To hold the hand tightly,
Or pinch his ears lightly,
When riding his shoulders it
Seems
I took a very long time –
To work out why I won’t see many
People
I’m holding out for just
Another hot island,
A more colourful wardrobe,
And a shakier hand to greet
The way that I'm feeling,
Whenever you're nearing, is
My photograph
Only
Half
Drawn?
